One cabinet, many dispensers

The split-type DC charger separates a 360–600 kW power cabinet from the charging dispensers, with hot-swappable 40 kW liquid-cooled SiC modules — one power wall feeds 2–8 terminals at 200–1000 VDC for bus depots and MW-scale fleet sites.

Overview

Centralize the power, distribute the charging.

Above roughly 300 kW, a single cabinet-and-cable design gets heavy and wasteful. The split architecture puts the power electronics in one wall-mounted cabinet and runs DC to slim dispensers at each bay — one power wall, many stalls.

  • 360–600 kW per cabinet on a 3-phase 400 VAC supply, shared across 2–8 dispensers.
  • Hot-swappable 40 kW SiC modules let a failed slot be replaced without powering down the depot.
  • 200–1000 VDC output with dynamic power sharing between every dispenser.
  • IP54 + IK10 and −35°C to +55°C operation for open-air depot yards.

Engineering

Hot-swap the module, not the depot.

A bus depot cannot afford a full cabinet down for a day. Because the split system is built from independent 40 kW modules, a single failure degrades capacity a few percent instead of stopping a bay — and the module swaps in minutes.

  • 12 MW in one yard — a 200-bus depot draws about 60 kW per bus overnight; the split cabinet feeds that many dispensers from one power wall.
  • Dynamic power sharing routes capacity to whichever bus is closest to departure, not evenly and wastefully.
  • SiC at 96.5% module efficiency cuts the electricity bill across every MW-scale charge.

FAQ

Split-type DC charger, answered.

Two to eight terminals, sized per site. One 360–600 kW cabinet serves a row of bays, and the controller shares power dynamically across every dispenser.
Each 40 kW SiC module slides out of the cabinet and a replacement slides in without powering the system down — a failed slot degrades capacity a few percent instead of stopping a bay.
Above 300 kW the split architecture separates the heavy power wall from the slim dispensers, cutting trenching and letting one cabinet serve many stalls — the pattern bus and truck depots need.
Split-type DC systems start at 1 cabinet on a project basis, with OCPP 2.0.1 and ISO 15118 Plug & Charge available from the first system.
