ems-charge EV charging product line

A charger that fits in the trunk

A portable Mode 2 EV charging cable with an in-cable control box (ICCB) that adjusts from 8 A to 32 A. It plugs into a Schuko or CEE socket on one end and a Type 2 or Type 1 vehicle port on the other, in an IP67 control box built to IEC 62752.

Portable Mode 2

Any socket, any country, one cable.

The control box steps the current to what the socket can safely deliver — from 8 A on a weak outlet to 32 A on a dedicated CEE line — so the same cable works from a guest house in Europe to a caravan park.

  • 8–32 A adjustable in six steps: 8 / 10 / 13 / 16 / 20 / 25 / 32 A.
  • 3.7 / 7.4 kW on 230 V single-phase.
  • IP67 control box with IEC 62752 protection.
  • Schuko, CEE or NEMA wall plug; Type 2 or Type 1 vehicle connector.

Safety

Protection in the cable, not the socket.

A Mode 2 charger plugs into a socket that was never designed for hours of continuous EV load, so the protection has to live in the cable itself.

  • IEC 62752 compliance certifies the in-cable control and protection device (IC-CPD) for exactly this use.
  • RCD type A + 6 mA DC detection interrupts fault current that household breakers would miss.
  • Adjustable current matches the socket and wiring — 8 A for an old outlet, 32 A for a dedicated line.
  • IP67 control box keeps electronics sealed through rain, dust and roadside use.

Applications

Emergency, travel or rental.

Emergency & roadside

A portable cable is the fallback when a public charger fails — the same failure that drives the 14% of US charging sessions that never complete.

Travel & destination

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can offer a cable in the room instead of installing a wallbox, covering overnight charging at 3.7 kW.

Rental & shared fleets

Ship a cable with every rental or lease EV so drivers without a home unit can charge anywhere a socket exists — useful for the renters who face access twice as often as owners.

Certified

Approved for the socket and the vehicle.

The portable cable is built to IEC 62752 for in-cable protection and carries CE, TÜV, RoHS and REACH marks for the European market.

FAQ

Portable charger, answered.

Choose the highest step the socket and wiring can sustain. Start at 8 A or 10 A for an unknown outlet and step up to 16 A or 32 A only on a dedicated, inspected line.
Yes. The IP67 control box is sealed against immersion, and the IEC 62752 protection device interrupts residual and DC fault current before it reaches the vehicle or the socket.
The wall plug matches the country — Schuko for mainland Europe, CEE 32 A for industrial lines, NEMA 5-15 for North America — and the vehicle connector is Type 2 or Type 1.
For occasional charging it can, up to 7.4 kW. For daily home use a fixed wallbox with dynamic load balancing is more convenient and durable long-term.
